BABY CLASS
In this class our little dancers learn little ballet mimes to music and basic classical ballet technique. We then change shoes to tap shoes and we learn a little song & dance and our first tap grade. By the time they leave this class they will have taken their Silver & Gold Star award in baby ballet mime, Bronze Song and Dance medal and are working towards their Pre- Preparatory Tap exam. These awards serve primarily to introduce candidates to the examination room environment.
ROSE AWARD CLASS
Rose Awards are a stepping stone for Baby class students towards the comprehensive BTDA graded exams.. Candidates are entered in groups of up to 4 and can be assisted by a teacher as if they were in a class situation. These awards are available to candidates up to the age of 10 years and to special needs candidates of any age. Rose Awards are taken in the following subjects: Ballet, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Acrobatic, Speech & Drama, and Greek. Candidates can take up to three exams in one session, though not in one subject. Successful candidates receive a certificate, a Silver Mounted Cup is awarded to Level 1 candidates, and a Gold Mounted Cup is awarded to Level 2 candidates. These awards also serve primarily to introduce candidates to the examination room environment.
